Lessons from Toby

On July 3rd, 2001 we picked up a fuzzy little Soft-coated Wheaten Terrier puppy from a breeder who happened to be in town to ship off a couple of siblings to other states.  He was the cutest little thing with a tongue that would not stay in and a smile that was infectious to all around him.
We named him Colonel's Favorite Toby, or just "Toby."  he was a dog full of love, affection and energy.  He was with us for 12 years and taught us so much. Unfortunately it took his death for those teachings to be fully realized.
This blog is an attempt to collect all of those teachings in one location. We hope to memorialize Toby as the dog that we all loved and to share our experiences with all of you.
